So we had our follow up sonogram and OB visit from our hospital trip last week, unfortunately my cervix has shortened even more... we are now at 1.7 cm. Bummer... even with all the bed rest it is getting shorter. My OB said that it could continue to shorten up a little more or it might level out and stop at a certain length. But as my friend Shelly Hunter knows, you can carry to full term on an extremely short cervix...
Luckily, it doesn't change my bed rest location. Since we are past 28 weeks (29 on Wednesday) we will continue to do bed rest at home because they can't do anything for us at the hospital that we can't do here at home. We will be visiting the OB every week to check my cervix and do a NST in labor and delivery to monitor the sweet babies. Sonograms will continue to be every 3 weeks. Our ultimate goal is 35 weeks, after that anything else is just gravy... right now we just need to make it to 30 weeks, then 32, then 34 and finally 35. At 35 we are back to business as usually just waiting for Linley and Caden to join us!

Hang in there! I'm praying for 35 weeks for you!
Hey Nicole, way to think positive. I think that helps so much, and helps your body too! Keeping focused on your goal. Quite a bit more anticipation than a regular pregnancy, you are practicing patience and depending on the Lord. You will be a great mommy, already laying down (literally) your life for them, getting your eyes on them and off yourself, and doing it with joy!! Joyful mother of children! Keep it up! :)
How did I not know you had a blog?!?!? I LOVE it and so much enjoyed reading about baby Caden and baby Linley!! Hang in there with the bed rest; we are thinking about you guys and keeping y'all in our thoughts and prayers. xoxo jen
