New Sonogram Pictures...

New sonogram pictures our our sweet babies! We definitely are having a girl and boy, it was confirmed 100% today. Our little girl was much more cooperative today than our little boy so there are more pics of her than him.

We also found out that both of the babies are extremely close to the cervix so they will be switching positions throughout the pregnancy but the little boy's placenta is attached to the left side and the little girl's placenta is attached to the right.

NEW BABY FURNITURE...

Guess what we did today??? Bought our baby furniture!

Below is our beautiful baby furniture, we bought 2 cribs (WOW) and the combo dresser on the left of the bed. The color is expresso, a very dark brown but not black!

It is going to look so good, look for it to be here in May! Next on the list, painting, a chair rail and the little boy baby bedding.

New Belly Shot...

Welcome to week 16...

Last week I went on a trip to the valley and sometime between Tuesday and Friday, this developed...
Now, I was amazed by this phenomenon, so imagine Trip's surprise when I walked in the door on Friday with this new "little" baby bump. Shock is an appropriate word!

One more step towards the baby room...

As most of you know, our baby room has been Trip's "man cave" for the past 3 years... when we decided that was going to become the babies room we decided to move Trip's TV watching room to the office. We bought him a new computer with a 27" monitor sothat he can watch TV on it, we got him a brand new chair and yesterday our final step in moving the "man cave" to the office was completed... we added french doors into the entry way!

Now all I have left is to sell the furniture in the back room to make room for the baby furniture... let me know if anyone you know is looking for a couch, chair, ottoman, coffee table, end table and lamp!

Baby Bedding...

I think we have found the baby bedding! Trip is such a trooper, he hasn't been feeling great today and he still went with me to look for bedding.

I have been searching for several weeks in stores and online for bedding I like, trying to decide if I was going to have to go with custom bedding to get what I really wanted for the babies room. I really didn't want to go through the hassel of doing custom bedding but finding something I loved that would work for boys and girls at the store or online has been a challenge.

I had seen the Daniella by CoCaLo at Lonestar Baby several times and I absolutely loved it... I kept trying to figure out how I could have it replicated in another color so that I could use it for a boy and girl. Then, I realized, I could do a baby room with girl bedding and boy bedding if I could find something that would blend well. TODAY I found something... now, it is hard to tell in the picture that the Portofino by Sarah Eve works well with the girl bedding but I saw the bedding in person and I am very happy with the collaboration of the two. The portofino is actually a mix of browns and shimmery golds (although it doesn't look like it online) and I think I am going to put a silvery blue sheet with the Portofino to make it a little more boy looking rather than sticking with the white sheets.

I am still not 100% sure I won't do both beds in the Portofino but if I decide to do the Daniella for our baby girl then the Portofino will be the baby boy bedding. Oh, and the pink walls in the picture are definitely out for our baby room... I am thinking khaki with Khaki stripes...
